Small Gestures, Big Message
Sometimes companies hesitate to send gifts because they assume a meaningful gesture has to be expensive. It does not.
Recognition works because of what it says, not because of the receipt attached to it. A smaller gift sent at exactly the right moment can be far more powerful than an expensive gift sent out of obligation.
The message is the gift
“Thanks for trusting us with this project.” “Congrats on the launch.” “We appreciate the introduction.” “Your team crushed it.”
The gift simply gives that message a physical form. Something arrives at the door. Someone opens it. And for a few minutes, your relationship has their full attention. That is valuable real estate, and it does not require a big budget to rent.
What a small budget does well
A beautifully made chocolate bar with custom artwork around it costs a few dollars and outperforms most hundred-dollar gestures, because it arrives looking like a considered choice rather than a line item. Add a two-line note explaining the why, and it is complete.
You do not necessarily need a bigger budget. You need a better reason for sending the gift.
If you have a moment worth acknowledging and a modest budget to work with, tell us both. Small is a space we know our way around.
